STEAM- Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math
This year, I am working to incorporate more STEAM centered activities and centers in to the classroom. Here are some the kids have already experienced! More STEAM activities and information to come.
Fall bulletin board and our most sincere pumpkin patch!
Fall has arrived and so has Linus! He is waiting patiently in the pumpkin patch waiting for the Great Pumpkin to arrive. The kids did a great job on their projects!
B is for....
Birds!!! Also bears, balloons and buttons! This week was filled with lots of things that started with the letter B. We colored a birthday bear and added balloons, made a bird out of the letter B and learned how to make the letter B using sign language. We also dot painted and used letter magnets.

Last two weeks....
We have been studying the letter A, number 0, shape circle, and color red for the last 2 weeks. Fog caused closings and I repeated the week’s lessons so the 3 day class also learned these skills. We made letter A activities, apples, painted circles, dotpainted and used the sensory table and new fine motor centers.

Last week....
We had another short week because of Labor Day. Even thiugh it was a short week, we still had lots of fun! We shared our all about me posters with our friends and put them in the hallway for everyone to see. We also made a collage of our favorite things. We also added our tigers to the hallway. On Thursday and Friday, we read the easy reader book “In the Jungle” and made a zebra with our hand prints. We painted our hands black and pressed them onto the zebra to make the stripes. This week we are learning about the letter A, color red, number 0 and shape circle.
