BEST New Year's Eve EVER! Fun countdown activities for the kids!

New Years Tree
I think this idea is great!  Take down your Christmas ornaments and decorate your tree for New Years Eve instead!  Kids would love getting to decorate the tree all over again.  This would be such a fun tradition!  Take off the Christmasy stuff and fill the tree with noisemakers, confetti bombs, balloons filled with fortunes or coins, party hats...you could fill in empty spots with metallic ball ornaments and ribbons.  By the time your celebrating is done, the tree will mostly be undecorated again as guests pull off a noisemaker or hat to party with.

A cool new years idea.

I can finally unveil our parent gifts the students made this year!  Mistletoes!  There is a cute poem on the back.  One class had blue bows and a black frame.  The other class had red bows and a brown frame.  They also made Christmas ornaments and signed their names to a special Christmas Card.  Thank you to Mrs. Linda for wrapping the gifts!

Track Santa tomorrow night!

It's the day before Christmas Eve and Santa is making his final preparations for his trip around the world!  Go to http://www.noradsanta.org/ tomorrow to track him all day tomorrow.  Then go to http://reindeercam.com/ at 8:00 on Christmas Eve so see Santa get ready for the North American leg of the trip.  Due to an Ice Storm at the North Pole, reindeercam.com is with out power and is unable to stream the live feedings.  They hope to have it up and going for Christmas.  Keep checking back!

Here is a message from Santa!

If you're wondering about my sleigh's route on Christmas Eve, the vigilant crew over at NORAD Tracks Santa knows that I start at the International Date Line in the Pacific Ocean and travel west.

I usually visit the South Pacific first, then New Zealand and Australia. After that, I shoot up to Japan, over to Asia, across to Africa, then onto Western Europe, Canada, the United States, Mexico, Central and South America. All that said, our route can change at any time due to weather. Be Merry!
